Cinderella Pumpkins

Once upon a time there lived a woman in a smallish town with a smallish yard and a not-so-smallish desire to grow pumpkins…

The Cinderella pumpkin is a real pumpkin variety and is shaped much like the coach in the fairy tale Cinderella. With a few easy touches (and no carving needed), you can, too, can turn an ordinary Cinderella pumpkin into a coach fit for any Cinderella!

Start by spray painting your pumpkin any color you choose – white, silver, or gold are good choices. After the paint is completely dry, adorn your pumpkin with peel-and-stick “jewels” (check the scrapbook department at your local hobby store for these).

Fashion “wheels” for the pumpkin carriage by bending silver or gold pipe cleaners into spirals, and position the pumpkin so that it rests on all four “wheels”.

Makes a great centerpiece or mantle decoration during the holidays.

And don’t forget to post photos of your creation on our Facebook page!
