- 1 head cabbage cut in julienne
- 1 onion diced
- 2 oz oil
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme
- 2 cups heavy cream
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1/2 lb DATIL DAVE SAUSAGE diced
Option: use vegetable stock or chicken stock instead of the cream
In a large sauté pan add the oil and sauté the onion until caramelized. Add the cabbage, Datil Summer Sausage, garlic, thyme, and caraway seed. Sauté for 5 minutes; add the heavy cream and cook until it thickens. Adjust the flavor with salt and pepper.
If you are adding the sausage cook it with the onions before you add the cabbage.
