Rype & Readi is a community of agribusinesses composed of our Rype & Readi Elkton Farm located at the entrance of the St Johns County agricultural corridor, Rype & Readi Golf Bistro at the St Johns Golf Club and Rype & Readi Downtown Farm Market in historic St Augustine. More than a market, Rype & Readi Downtown Farm Market is a family-friendly St. Johns County destination for families, chefs, farmers, and foodies who appreciate local, fresh, high quality foods. Our premium fair includes fresh organic produce, prepared foods to go, world class cheeses, and a wide variety of gourmet items and farm-centric gifts . Working with local neighboring farms, we offer an expanded line of products and provide a convenient market place to find local favorites with ingredients to enhance them. Located at the municipal St. Johns County Golf Club and open to the general public every day, Rype & Readi Golf Bistro stands as Elkton’s first and oldest Farm-to-Fork restaurant and bar.
Simple and affordable, we have developed a great menu that gives you the option to customize your dish the way you like it. Be it a bowl with rice and pulled pork, chicken taco’s or mouth watering nacho’s with only the toppings you love… and don’t forget our double-fried potato fries (Yum Yum) – a local favorite! Offering a private room for meetings or special occasions and a terrace overlooking the 9th and 18th greens, the Golf Bistro hosts our Sunday Cooking Classes featuring chefs from local area restaurants. Rype & Readi Elkton Farm planted its local roots at our 22 acre farm at the intersection of State Road 207 and County Road 305. Located only 12 miles from downtown historic St Augustine, we cultivate hydroponic herbs & lettuce and maintain a demonstration organic vegetable garden to partially supply our downtown farm market. Our pastures serve to graze our celebrity herd of cows, donkeys, goats, geese, ducks and turkeys. The farm market – once located a the farm was moved to downtown St. Augustine in 2017 (see info above). Currently the farm is only open for private events by appointment only. Rype & Readi offers special events including field trips, farm feasts, bike tours, agrotourism picnics, and neighborly gatherings. Seasonally, we offer hayrides, bonfires, and experiential learning opportunities for young and old alike.

Whether it’s a cooking class on a date, a farm feast roasting a whole animal around a pecan and oak bonfire with your neighbors, or chaperoning an afternoon field trip with your children where they can experience the joy of hand-feeding a farm animal first-hand, our events are intended to be simple, stimulating, and always memorable.

The hallmark of the program is the familiar “Fresh From Florida” logo, which is displayed on product packaging and signage and in a variety of print and electronic media. Only members of the FAPC are permitted to use the logo. The logo associates the member’s products with Florida agriculture’s worldwide image of excellence, which has been carefully cultivated and promoted by the FAPC program since its beginnings in 1990.
Snail of Approval
The Slow Food First Coast Snail of Approval Program is a directory of the restaurants, food and beverage artisans, stores, and markets and farms that, because of their contributions to the quality, authenticity and sustainability of the food supply of the First Coast region of Florida, have been awarded the SFFC Snail of Approval.
Rype and Readi was awarded the Snail of approval in August of 2015.
